March 19 2008- For those of you that know me...you know that one of the most peaceful places on earth for me is to take walks in Cemeteries and take pics. I find that Cemeteries are a Natural place for not only Beauty, but for Art and Love that stands the test of time.
That use to be true of my Beloved Oakland Cemetery....Love did stand the test of time in 150 plus year old Monuments..but on March 14th 2008 the unthinkable happened.
A Tornado ripped through Downtown Atlanta and Oakland, which is right outside the city was DEVASTATED. Old Trees were uprooted and tossed into 20 ft Monuments and knocked over...busted...there was a lot of damage. But in time, it will be repaired...and I would like to help out...For right now, anything that is sold, a portion goes to the Oakland Cemetery Restoration Fund.
If you look at my Gallery Page, you will see New Artwork that is Ready Matted with Handpainted Cardboard Matts. You will see how much of your purchase goes to the Oakland C.R.Fund. The same holds true for my Newest Ornaments.

July 7 2007- I was recently contacted by a friend to draw his portrait for him. I was thrilled that he looked to me to create it for him and even more surprised when he said, "It's for my new CD insert. Is that OK?"

hhmmm...let me think...uuhh....YEAH!!...lol...

My friend is non other than Virgil Franklin- Master of the Ethermuse.
For those of you not aware of what Virgil does, he is a Gothic Composure who's music you will find playing in Professional (and Non Pro) Haunted Houses and Dark Attractions across the U.S., ?Canada and abroad.

You can only imagine how *honored* I was when Virgil came to me to draw his portrait that will grace the inside cover of his upcoming CD "Night Sins".

This is a first for me under the *A Ryer Studio* name.
